Event: Best Starter Lot
22nd June 2025
Well, the doors of the Simland Ilses are open and people are already setting up shop. From Service lots to Homes, it’s exciting to see what you’re already doing in game. So much so, that we’re going to run an event to encourage even more homes to spring up around the city!
The Best Starter Lot event will run from the time of writing (22nd June ’25) for one week until Sunday 29th June ’25. You have until then to take part, so read on for more information!
UPDATE: Due to the amount of new players starting their journey in LegacySO we have decided to extend this event to last until 20th July. This means the event will last one whole month – so you have plenty of time to get your entries in!
The Rules
Create a house, any house – it can be any lot type, any style – we’re looking for individuality. Something that screams ‘you’! Once you’ve built up your abode, send a screenshot and your lot name to vennbot on Discord (that’s me) to submit it for judging.
We’re not looking for glitz, or glamour – and you don’t need to spend §1,000,000 on your property either. Remember what they say, sometimes — less is more!
At the end of the week, I will review all of the submissions and present the winners in another blog post.

The Prizes
For the winners, we will be awarding three tiers of prize. The prize will be allocated to each Sim that is a roommate on that property. Please bear in mind that a maximum of one Sim per account is eligible for the prize – to keep things fair! This means if you have your second and third Sim as a roommate, you can pick one to get the prize. Other players who are roommates of properties will receive the prize as normal.
First Place: §10,000
Second Place: $5,000
Third Place: §2,500
Participation Prize: §1,000
(everyone who enters is eligible for this!)
We hope we’ll see some interesting properties crop up. The standard common-sense rules apply, no vulgar entries – keep things sensible. We don’t want to, but will disqualify those who don’t appear to take the spirit of the contest seriously.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. If you make changes to your lot after you submit it for judging, but before the contest deadline – just fire another message across and we’ll update our records. You can re-enter your lot as many times as you want up until the deadline!
Have fun in the Simland Ilses!
