News: LegacySO is Available to Download!

It’s been a long road but the day has arrived to allow budding explorers in to download LegacySO and experience the game! There’s a lot to do, although the city is a bit quiet at the moment. I wonder who will be the first to set up shop?

We recommend you visit ‘Simland Ilses Town Hall’ (a community lot) before you get started in the world of LegacySO, as this will help you travel around the Ilses to houses that are always open!

Download Instructions

Follow the instructions below to get started! For the latest server status and news, join our Discord server.

  1. Use the ‘Download’ LegacySO button below to get ‘LegacySOClient.zip’
  2. Extract LegacySOClient.zip somewhere accessible (e.g., Downloads, Desktop, etc)
  3. Run ‘LegacySO.exe’ to launch the game
  4. Sign in with your account and have fun!
Note: We are soon launching an official LegacySO launcher to handle updates, 3D remesh integration and more. Please check back soon for news!
 
You will require a valid copy of The Sims Online in order to play LegacySO. The game client does not provide these files. TSO is available as abandonware online, simply download the ZIP and install the game before launching LegacySO.

Limited Time Event: Simland Starter Bonus

To celebrate the doors swinging open on the Simland Ilses, we’re offering new players a discretionary bonus of §10,000* to kick-start their own lots and homes in LegacySO. This event is limited and will end one week from today (2025-06-21 thru 2025-06-28 @ 23:59 UTC+1).

To claim your bonus:

  • Join our Discord server
  • Send a message to a member of LSO staff with:
    • A screenshot of your Sim-selection screen
    • The name of the Sim you would like the bonus applied to.

Only one bonus is allowed per Sim, with only one account allowed per person (per the rules).

Anyone found breaking these rules will have sanctions applied to them, including the removal of all funds from their account.

You can’t buy in-game money with assets from the real world, nor is this event reward transferrable in any way. Any abuse of this promotion may result in its early termination and/or your right to receive this reward being revoked without warning.
